Today, Friday 13th, 5th class met with Quin Tidy Towns. The class worked on collecting litter around the village. This links up with our quest for the Green School Flag, but also in the Villages applicaton for Tidy Towns. A special thanks to Mr Clune, Mrs Power, Mr Lynch, Evelyn O'Donnell, Mike Reddan and Pat Leamy. We had great fun and are now happy to see the village in great shape.
Congratulations to our 2nd class pupils who made the First Holy Communion on Saturday 23rd April. A great day was had by all! A brilliant ceremony, a well deserved reception and to top everything fantastic weather! See below the scrumptious cake made by Elma Campion.
Our school choir Ceoil na Mainistreach entered the Waltons Music for schools competition. We put a great piece together with the help of our excellent teachers Ms Howley and Ms Rice. We made a video of our performance of music, song and dance. Only 6 schools were chosen to qualify in all of Ireland. We really enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately we did not make it through but we will be working hard for next years entry.
