As a way of helping us with our spellings, Miss Daffy has set up accounts for us all on www.spellingcity.com.
To use your account you simple go to the website and enter your username and the password Miss Daffy gives you into the student section.
When you get into your account, you will see 10 games to help you with this weeks spellings. The spelling list for the games is listed above the games under the title week 19. Over the coming days Miss Daffy will be putting all our previous spelling lists up so we can revise and play games at the same time!
Hopefully this website will help the boys and girls to continue to improve their spellings!
If you have any problem with the website please let Miss Daffy know!
On Friday, we received the great news that we had won the Golden Boot Award!
Mrs Power came in to tell us the great news!
Winning the Golden Boot means we were the class who had the most number of children that walked or used park and stride to get to school.
Our reward was Golden time! Well done everybody!
This week is Catholic Schools week. Our theme for this year has been 'Our Common Home'. Today we learned about Laudato Si'. This is a letter that Pope Francis wrote to the world. Laudato Si' means 'Praise be to you'. Pope Francis reminds us that the earth is a gift from God for everyone, it is our common home. Pope Francis goes on to describe the terrible things that are happening to the earth. He reminds us that as Christians we are called to share God's love.
During Catholic schools week we will celebrate God's gift of the earth. Laudato Si' deals with many environmental issues including pollution, climate change, drought, loss of biodiversity and the decline in the quality of human life. Pope Francis is asking us to work together to create a better world for future generations and to take care of, respect and value our 'common home'.
Today we watched a video clip about Laudato Si' and we talked about it. Here is a link to the clip we watched:
